With nice bird song in the background, a large group of Bluebottles, Chocolate Albatross and other butterflies frequent a wet patch of ground, for mud puddling. Graphium cloanthus (Glassy Bluebottle) These butterflies are found in India from Jammu and Kashmir to to Arunachal Pradesh and in Bhutan, Nepal, Myanmar and Pakistan too. They occur on the hills up to 2,745 metres. These butterflies have a rapid and restless flight as shown in this clip and visit flowers and damp patches as shown. They are also fond of circling around trees especially on isolated hill - tops. More seen on the wing during and after the monsoons. Appias lyncida (Chocolate Albatross) These butterflies are found in India from South India to Uttarakhand, Sikkim to Arunachal Pradesh and Orissa and the Nicobar islands and
