A lone yellow tent with smaller tents pitched on the ablation valley along a glacial shelf with the glacier separated by just a small ridge. A small glacial melt water lake is located at the edge of the moraine. The huge Kalindi glacier stretches all the way up the valley with a convoluted spread of crevasses and snowfields, en route the Kalindi Pass beyond the Gangotri glacier. After crossing the Shweta glacier, one gets down the Raj Parav glacier on the other side of Kalindi Khal. Camping in high altitude desolation, on the moraine of a glacier below the Kalindi Khal pass in the Garhwal Himalaya, on a thin ridge of rock and boulders next to a glacier with deep crevasses.
