Rithala, a village founded in 1384 AD, is located in the North-West district of the Indian state of Delhi. The village has grown over five-times in size since its farming land was acquired by the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) in the early 1980s. Rithala, known in the past as Lathi Wala, was established by Rana Rajpal Singh of Sumal Gotra of Tomar Chandervanshi Rajputs. Recently, the Rithalias Trust has built a memorial called 'Rana Raj Pal Singh Smarthi Sthal', which consists of a tower and a small temple in memory of him. Now, the village is a mixture of almost every caste. The village has an exciting community life and the languages you can hear are more varied than most other villages in the Delhi area. There are people from Rajasthan, Panjab, Uttar Pradesh, Bengal and Bihar. Rithal
