Thomas Hearns vs Iran Barkley I. Also Featuring Roger Mayweather vs Harold Brazier Plus Virgil Hill vs Ramzi Hassan at 1988, Las Vegas Hilton, Las Vegas, 4th november 1988. Named The Ring magazine Upset of the Year for 1988. Barkley suffered a severe left eye cut and bled from the mouth. Hearns was hurting Barkley to the body in round three until surprised with two rights, which floored him for a nine count. Two more rights sent Hearns throughout the ropes and Steele stopped it without a count. Mayweather W split decision over 12 rounds Harold Brazier, in his biggest fight to date, had the champion Mayweather practically out on his feet in just about every one of the last four rounds.
