In the Wilderness Orchard Garden, a large hive of the giant honey bee (Apis dorsata) is established within a tree trunk. Numerous bees are visible across the exposed comb, actively moving over its surface. The colony shows continuous activity with individuals entering and exiting the hive. The tree trunk provides structural support and partial shelter for the colony. This species is known for forming large, open nests in natural environments. The surrounding orchard vegetation supports foraging resources for the bees. Natural daylight highlights the comb structure and dense clustering of bees.
