An exposed hive of the Giant Honey Bee in Wilderness Orchard, New Delhi. Giant Honey Bees construct a single large comb in open locations such as high tree branches and elevated natural structures. The species is widely distributed across South and Southeast Asia and is commonly observed in forested and semi-urban environments. These bees are known for their defensive colony behavior while protecting the hive from disturbances. The comb structure can grow to a considerable size, sometimes reaching up to 1.5 meters in width. The video highlights the nesting pattern and colony organization of one of the largest honey bee species found in India.
