A 23 year old widow Vineeta Devi lost her husband in 2013 Kedarnath tragedy and Sulabh International organised her Re-marriage ceremony in 400 years old Gopinath temple in Vrindavan with Rakesh. According to Sulabh International, her marriage is a message to the society who believes a woman’s life ends if she becomes a widow. One can see the Mehendi is being applied in the hands of Vineeta. Bindeshwar Pathak, founder of Sulabh International can be seen sitting near to Vineeta. In 2014, she married Rakesh, a taxi driver in court, but did not get social acceptance. Hence, to get social acceptance to her marriage, she decided to marry him with full rituals.
