A 23 year old widow Vineeta Devi lost her husband in 2013 Kedarnath tragedy and Sulabh International organized her Re-marriage ceremony in 400 years old Gopinath temple in Vrindavan with Rakesh. According to Sulabh International, her marriage is a message to the society who believes a woman’s life ends if she becomes a widow. In 2014, she married Rakesh, a taxi driver in court, but did not get social acceptance. Hence, to get social acceptance to her marriage, she decided to marry him with full rituals. One can see the Mandap has been decorated and Hindu priests arrange the flowers, Kalash and other important things used in Hindu marriage ceremony.
