Yamunotri is the source of Yamuna river and one of the four sites in India's Char Dham pilgrimage. It is the first destination of Char Dham Yatra. Tourism in this place has increased with the passage of time. Pilgrims can find teal stalls en route Yamnotri. The last destination while traveling to Yamunotri is Hanuman Chatti. Yamunotri is only 13 km from Hanuman Chatti. One can have horses or palanquins on rent to reach Yamunotri. Tapt Kund is situated near the Yamunotri temple hot water sulphur spring.
