Known as Heinijom in Manipur, the Star fruit, Kamrak or Carambola tree is native to parts of India and South-east Asia. While staying at a tea garden in Arunachal Pradesh, the staff plucked fresh fruit from the Kamrak trees in their garden and served us a sharp lemoney juice shot at breakfast!
