Manali is a valley nestled in the mountains of the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh near the northern end of the Kullu Valley, in the Beas River Valley. The Beas River also known as the Biás or Bias, is a river in north India. The river rises in the Himalayas in central Himachal Pradesh, India, and flows for some 470 kilometres to the Sutlej River in the Indian state of Punjab. The riverbanks provide a picturesque place for hiking, taking a relaxing stroll, or having a picnic. The river bears testimony of many documented and undocumented historical events.
