As solidarity and support pour in from all over the country for soldiers in Kargil, Operation Vijay 1999, actor and director Anupam Kher attends an event for heroes of Kargil in 1999. The event named Aye Watan Tere Liye, a famous patriotic song is attended by army officer Brig. Ramesh Dixit. Supporters of the soldiers in Operation Vijay at the India Gate in Delhi show their support by shaving their heads. The shaving of heads symbolising that the soldiers are their own kin, a brother and son of Mother India.
