The Kargil Conflict between India and Pakistan due to the violation of agreements in the Line of Control. Tensions flared up between the two nations as armed activities ensued. General Bikram Singh, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, SM, VSM, ADC - who later went on to become the Chief of Army staff also speaks to the press. The government officials brief media on the activities of the opposite side and also the responses and retaliation from the Indian side.
