One of the most recreational and adventurous outdoor activities of all -- The River Rafting!!! Considered as an extreme sport this can be very dangerous. It is Also known as white water rafting. To excite the raft passenger it is usually done on white water or rough waters of different degrees. It became popular as a leisure sport since the mid 70's. Rafting is done on an inflatable boat which is made of layers of fabrics of either rubber or vinyl with many air chambers. These rafts are of different shapes and sizes while symmetrical raft being the most common one. Other than that asymmetrical, rudder -- controlled and Stern Mounts with the oar frame located at the rear of the raft, are also used.
