Khuru (Bhutanese local term) is one of the traditional sport in Bhutan played by the majority of men in the country during special occasions. These days we see Bhutanese girls too participating during Losar and other important festivals. It is a team game which includes over 8 to 12 people and the game would continue from 7 am till 6pm. The crowd gathers to witness the game and the ladies get warm tea, alcohol and snacks to boost up player's energy. The game continues with singing and dancing and this is one of the favourite game for the Bhutanese men.
