Bhutanese monks get ready for the festivities. The stadium is full of more than a dozen balloons which will later be set free in the air. Majority of Bhutanese monks come from poor families, who regard that it’s an honour to let their sons receive an education free of cost while following the religious and spiritual path under the guidance of elderly religious people. Young boys at about the age of 5 join a monastery and learn how to read English and Sanskrit. They live simple, happy, and meditative life to achieve nirvana. The Monk Body of Bhutan is known for taking the responsibility for establishing social harmony and happiness throughout the nation. Monks are some of the happiest citizens here, and they get great respect from government and other citizens of Bhutan alike. Source: https
