The refuse has turned into a mountain of such proportions in terms of scale, size, vileness and leaching ability that India is staring at an uncertain future thanks to its waste alone, even apart from water shortages and floods. We are staring at a gargantuan waste challenge. Add to it diesel fumes, PM 10.0 and worse air pollution, and this must be one of the most inhospitable terrains on our beautiful earth.
