Suman Dubey speaks on recollections of mountaineering and walking the Himalaya with Hari Dang, dating back to his early days on Everest in 1962. Himraj Dang introduces Suman Dubey who also speaks about John Dias, the veteran mountaineer who died of blood cancer / leukemia as a result of the secret Indo-American mission to place a plutinium powered nuclear tracking device atop Nanda Devi, to monitor nuclear reactor activity at Lop Nor on the Tibetan plateau, by the Chinese. This book is a collection of the mountain writings of the late Hari Dang (1935-2016). This compilation is based on his book-length manuscript, written in the 60s, as “The Himalayan Vision,” but never published. Covered in this are his first visits, while at college, to Bandarpunch (1953, 1955), an adventure around Chirin
