An elderly Bhutanese woman does her laundry in Ngoba village high above the Paro valley. She dries the clothes she has washed on a nearby rubber pipe which acts as a clothesline. Notice the phallic symbols of an erect human penis on the walls of the village homes. These act as symbols of fertility and keep off the evil eye.
