A splash of golden-yellow plumes amid the foliage and you have the Golden Oriole in your neighbourhood Not without reason, the Mango bird appears as a burst of golden yellow. The male Indian Golden Oriole sits on a branch alone and preens itself. Watch the colour and anatomy of this colourful bird, the black wings and the dark eyes. This bird sure looks like someone dipped it in a bucket of yellow paint. Males are bright yellow overall save for the black wings and inner tail feathers. Note the yellow patch on the wings, the yellow outer tail feathers, the black stripe through the eye that gives it a masked appearance, and the fleshy pink bill.
