A mason constructing a fireplace inside a house under construction in the Himalaya. Working beside a metal pan of mortar, he shapes and sets the fireplace surround by hand while layered stone strips are already fixed along one side of the opening. The surrounding dark plaster remains unfinished, with construction debris visible inside the room. Pine trees can be seen through the window, placing the building within the forested hill landscape. The footage captures traditional masonry work involved in constructing a fireplace for a mountain home.
