A Wedge-tailed Green Pigeon (Treron sphenurus), also known as the Kokla Green Pigeon, perched calmly on a tree branch in its natural habitat. A member of the pigeon and dove family (Columbidae), this beautiful bird is recognized for its vibrant yellowish-green plumage, subtle grey tones, and distinctive wedge-shaped tail. Remaining alert yet relaxed, the bird quietly surveys its surroundings from its elevated perch among the forest canopy. Native to the Himalayan foothills and many forested regions of South and Southeast Asia, the Wedge-tailed Green Pigeon is commonly found feeding on wild fruits, berries, and figs. This footage offers a close look at one of Asia's most colorful arboreal pigeon species in a peaceful woodland setting.
