The early monsoon is when Indian summer fruits peak, with the onset of black juicy Jamun, the peak of the langda mango season, and the end of the dussehri aam variety. Of course, pomegranate or anar and pears are now found almost through the year, from imports from Afghanistan, and local supply from Maharashtra for anar and pears from the hills, and even China and the USA.
