The mesmerising early morning view in Bharatpur, Rajasthan where a group of beautiful cormorants sits on the trees and a group painted stork stands near by the river and waits for small fish to feed upon. Cormorants are medium-to-large birds and the majority of species have dark feathers. The bill is long, thin and hooked. Their feet have webbing between all four toes. All species are fish-eaters, catching the prey by diving from the surface. Painted storks have distinctive pink feathers and they forage in flocks in shallow waters along rivers or lakes. They immerse their half open beaks in water and sweep them from side to side and snap up their prey of small fish that are sensed by touch.
