Foreign tourists disturb the peace of Demoiselle Cranes. They pay local school kids to make the cranes fly, thereby disturbing their afternoon siesta and rest time, prior to their return migration across the Himalaya. The cranes need to feed and rest but these tourists, in their selfishness, are irritating the cranes to get a better shot of them flying. Very poor judgement and selfish behaviour, too! If an Indian went abroad and broke wildlife laws, they would be arrested... India truly is a big-hearted and soft state. People come here, walk all over us and break our rules, and we do nothing! Migratory birds can be seen at many places, but what is special about this village Khichan is that the locals of the village offer quintals of grains to the birds early morning in a rectangular enclos
