Trout Farming in Mussoorie, at wildfilmsindia Motidhar Estate along the Bindal-Rispana head waters. Water pumps bring in fresh water for the Rainbow Trout, in order to maintain the Biological Oxygen demand or BOD in the water. Feed is introduced to the water, for the fish. One of our upper ponds and trout runs has trout fry introduced in them at the end of winter. Rainbow Trout shoal with their gapes open on a bright sunny day at the wildfilmsindia Trout hatchery ponds and runs in the western Himalaya. Clouds roll past in a time lapse over our forested Motidhar ridge. A smaller set of first year trout hatchlings or fry can be seen in an adjacent trout run.
