Nepal from the sky! Kathmandu as seen in the run-up to Tribhuvan International airport. One can see miles of township, agricultural lands and fields, rivers, sewers and drains, scant tree cover, canals, temples, commercial sheds, busy highways and then the airport precinct. This is the staging point for flights into the interiors such as to Lukla. The Bhutanese countyside as seen from the air, prior to landing at Paro airport. There is a steep descent into the Paro valley, as the mountains on all sides are steep, so the plane needs to make a sudden descent into the deep valley. Not an easy airport to land at!
