Spectacular sight of thousands of Demoiselle Cranes (Anthropoides virgo), locally known as Kurja or Koonj, gathered in and around Khichan village in Rajasthan, India. Located on the edge of the Thar Desert, Khichan has become internationally renowned for its unique relationship with these migratory birds, which travel thousands of kilometers from Central Asia to spend the winter in India.
