A cute resourceful and bratty gilheri bundles up cotton wool it has pulled out of a mattress and tries to manage it in such a way that it can carry it to its drey! A Five-striped Palm Squirrel seen holding and nibbling at soft cotton fibers, an activity that appears like feeding but is primarily related to nest-building behavior. The squirrel carefully pulls and chews the cotton to separate fine strands, which are later used to line its nest for warmth and comfort. This behavior is common, especially during cooler or wet weather, as soft materials help insulate the nest and protect young ones.
