Rhynchostylis retusa or Foxtail Orchid in full bloom in North India Rhynchostylis retusa or Foxtail Orchids grow in profusion during the monsoon months in the Sal forests of the Dehra dun valley. The grooved trunks and bark of Sal trees makes them perfect habitat for orchids, in addition to the humid monsoon months making the Shivaliks and low Himalaya perfect climate as well. Meanwhile, in the same monsoon season, Agapanthus Lilies grow in profusion in wildfilmsindia valley, so we made a floral arrangement from them. Agapanthus is the only genus in the subfamily Agapanthoideae of the flowering plant family Amaryllidaceae. The family is in the monocot order Asparagales.
