Sitting in a bed of cotton and fibers between two stitched together leaves, the monsoon humidity outside makes the poor Tailor Bird pant through an open beak. A Darzi chidiya creates sutures to expertly stitch together its leaf nest. Expertly and deftly weaving the cotton fibers it has collected from plants and leaves, this Tailor Bird makes little holes in two Teak tree leaves that it has brought together and stitches them together to create its cotton cushiony nest within. What precision for a tiny little bird - intuition, habit, and instinct and not even training from parents helps them along! The leaves arch over the cotton nest, to protect it from falling rain during the monsoon season, but this is not always the case and some late season nests take in water, the cotton gets laden and
