Hoopoe or Upupa epops: what a lovely Latin name for this familiar bird seen in wildfilmsindia forest, around the forest fire burned trunk of a lovely old deodar tree. Our neighbour decided to light our forest on fire, in an act of vengeance, but the forest is fast coming back, and this Hoopoe is taking advantage of the insects released by the fire. Birds often inhabit forest fire ravaged habitats, to at up insects attracted and released by the fire's heat.
