A stone-paved trekking path leads toward Valley of Flowers National Park in Chamoli district, Uttarakhand, India. The route slopes gently upward and is bordered by a low moss-covered stone wall, green vegetation, and simple corrugated-metal and wooden shelters. Several pack mules move along the trail, with others standing near a white flat-roofed building farther up the path. A black open-sided shelter with a makeshift roof stands beside the trail, with several people gathered inside. The sky is overcast, producing soft, diffused daylight across the trekking route. Valley of Flowers National Park forms part of the UNESCO World Heritage property Nanda Devi and Valley of Flowers National Parks.
