Some 22 kms away from Ukhrul North, a Tangkhul Naga group picnic and camping-style gathering in a wooded area during the autumn season. Participants are seen preparing fish and other food, cooking local dishes over a wood-burning campfire, and socializing in a natural forest environment. A cooking pot placed over burning logs produces thick smoke as meals are prepared using traditional outdoor methods. The group also takes part in dance and recreational activities, creating a lively community atmosphere. Trees with autumn foliage and a forest floor covered in fallen leaves form the backdrop to the event.
