Cattle herders from Sukhi Village, Uttarakhand graze their cattle in the Upper Son Gad Valley during the autumn season. This will be the last graze for these cattle up in the cold valley near the Garhwal Himalaya. The cattle will be herded back to the village which lies below the valley. The cattle herders are filmed preparing food in makeshift camps. These cattle destroy flower meadows, ruin flowering and seeding patterns and dig their hooves into the soft soil, ruining the top soil and causing it to flow off with the monsoon rains, thus causing great damage to flowering plant species of the Himalaya.
