Garkon Village lies along the Indus River in the Aryan Valley of Kargil district, Ladakh. During spring, apricot trees across the village and surrounding agricultural terraces bloom with white and light pink flowers. The orchards and cultivated fields form a green strip along the turquoise-blue Indus River, contrasting with the surrounding brown and grey rocky mountains. Small buildings, poplar trees and winding roads are visible among the terraces and orchards.
