An eight-feet-long python was found inside a car's bonnet on in Panvel. The car was parked in ONGC employees' colony. The owner of the car was trying to start the car but couldn't. He opened his bonnet to investigate and found the reptile coiled inside. He slammed the bonnet shut and ran from his car. A neighbour advised him to call a snake rescuer. "It was a common python, which may have slithered into the residential colony in the dark. Pythons and cobras are common in hilly and bushy regions across the river flowing behind ONGC colony. This python must have come here in search of food and got stuck inside the car. The python has been handed over to the Panvel forest officials who will release it into the forest," said Santosh Udare, Sarp Mitra. Udare has rescued close to 25 snakes in th
