Homeless families gather in heavy monsoon rain outside Safdarjung Hospital in New Delhi, waiting for cooked food and warm meals from philanthropists who pass by in their vans, distributing the same to the needy. When such a vehicle comes along, they crowd around for goodies. Oftentimes food philanthropy is transactional and the giver is hoping to receive good wishes, blessings and health from the powers that be just as much as the receivers hope for the physical tidings themselves...
