The Gandaki River (also known as the Narayani in southern Nepal and the Gandak in India) is one of the major rivers of Nepal and a left bank tributary of the Ganges in India. Gandaki river is one of the major rivers of Nepal. It has pious stories associated with it that date back to the times of Ramayana and Mahabharata. It is one of the rivers flowing from Nepal to India. The Kali Gandaki river source is at the border with Tibet at an elevation of 6,268 metres (20,564 ft) at the Nhubine Himal Glacier in the Mustang region of Nepal. Waling district of Nepal is famous for its unending paddy fields on the plains along banks of Adhikhola River and the undulating terraces in mountain slopes that are crisscrossed by numerous creeks.
