In the traditional tribal village of Tajang in Ziro Valley, things are carried out in the same traditional way as always. Apatanis as a close knit tribe hold their culture and their way of life very close to their life. Also seen here is the village 'Nyibu' or the village priest or doctor, with traditional ornaments and Ziro is situated in Lower Subansiri district of Arunachal Pradesh, 167 kms from the capital Itanagar. It can be reached via road from Guwahati or Dibrugarh towns in Assam. Just 167km from the capital, Itanagar, Ziro is one of the oldest towns in Arunachal Pradesh. Situated in a valley, it is at a height of over 5500 feet above sea level, with a beautiful view of the mountains that surround it. Ziro is primarily home to the Apatanis -- simple, friendly and hospitable people
