Tajang village, which is one of the new settlements in Ziro has traditional roots and yet a modern look to it. Modern houses can be now seen in the traditionally tribal villages of Ziro Valley. Apatanis make traditionally houses out of bamboo, which are slightly raised on a platform. But with modern times, they have adapted to the comforts of modernity and gradually shifted from bamboo to concrete. The fertile land of Ziro gives a incredible yield majorly owing to the progressive techniques of the Apatanis.
