This video features a devotee from the Advaita Ashram, Mayavati, Lohaghat, Uttarakhand, sharing the historic legacy of this sacred place. The ashram was established in 1899 by Captain Sevier and Mrs. Sevier, dedicated disciples of Swami Vivekananda. In 1900, Captain Sevier passed away, and during the same year, Swami Vivekananda visited the ashram, staying here from 3rd January to 18th January. It was winter when Swami Ji arrived, and he gave precise guidance regarding the ashram’s location. He instructed that the ashram should be built in the Himalayan region at an elevation between 6,000 and 7,000 feet, from where majestic Himalayan peaks like Nanda Devi and Trishul should be clearly visible. The ashram’s uniqueness lies in its isolation—there is no locality within four to five kilometer
