This croc loves to feast on the goonch and other fish in the deep pools of the Ramganga, also a fisherman's delight! A top shot of the Ramganga river which ends up as a tributary of the Ganga. The waters look pristine and inviting. But these waters traversing Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh are home to India's most important reptiles - the Gharial and the Mugger Croc. A closer look at the edge of the river towards the rocky cliff and a Mugger Crocodile with its armored skin, a broad snout is basking in the daylight with no care in the world. These waters are its exploits and it preys on the fish and amphibians mostly in this river. They are a vulnerable species due to loss of their habitat by human activities.
