Riding towards the Corbett Ramganga in winter to witness the slow-flowing waters of the tributary of Ganga that traverses the states of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. A drive along the Tehri Dam provides a lovely sight of slate-roefed Garhwal homes. From colourful Kingfishers near the pristine waters gushing down between rocky hills to the mugger crocodile basking on the edge of the river, these are sights that are not to be missed. Common Mormon butterflies also mud-puddle for minerals in the damp sand and the chilly winter sunsets.
