Vanghat is, in fact, one of the finest wildlife properties we have in India! No diesel fumes, cars and drivers, temples or mosques, roads or dhabas. This is pure unadulterated wild country just like the good old days of James Corbett and the atmosphere of his man-eating story books, but without the man-eaters. You cross the Ramganga in a quaint dinghy contraption using a rope to guide you to the other bank, walk past the river and up a gentle slope to the camp from where you can see goral on the cliffs across, wild elephant by the river, otters in season and so much more.
