Himalaya House catches fire: Delhi

On 19th November 2012, A major fire broke out at Himalaya House on Kasturba Gandhi Marg, Delhi in the early morning. Himalaya House is a 12-storey building in Connaught Place and has around 70 corporate offices, most of which belong to banking, insurance and other finance companies besides chartered accountants. The fire quickly spread upward from the third to the seventh floor. The cause of the fire at the 12-storey Himalaya House in central Delhi is yet to be determined. Fire officers suspect it started due to a short circuit. The official said the fourth floor was particularly damaged, the police said.
