The scientific name of this Sparrow is Passer Rutilans and it is also called Cinnamon or Cinnamon Tree Sparrow or Lal Guria in Hindi. It is a Sparrow family bird and they have a thick bill. There are three subspecies of Russet Sparrow. I have got pictures of the Russet Sparrow sub species which is found in the Himalayan region. These birds, mainly eat grains and nut; though, they do enjoy small insects. People can find Russet Sparrow at hill stations because of the presence of these birds in hilly parts. We can easily find Russet Sparrow in the group of Common Sparrow because of same eating habits.
