A leopard, (Panthera pardus) laps water with its pinkish tongue at a watering hole. water drips off his whiskers and chin. A close up of its feline eyes and nose. It shows off its sharp pair of canine teeth in the lower jaw with a yawn. The male Asiatic lion (Panthera leo leo) with its sandy-colored mane gives an unamused look at the camera. The Asiatic lion in the wild is only found in Gir Forest and areas adjoining it in India. The males have a growth of hair or mane around their head while the females are devoid of the mane. The Asiatic lions have lesser mane growth as compared to their African relatives.
