Dr Verghese Kurien on the future of milk cooperatives in India: You must understand what is development. It is just not just milk, milk cooperative or cows. There are nearly 5,00,000 farmers who are members of this cooperative and they own the Amul Dairy. We talk about seeking the larger development, i.e., development of man.
