Fresh Horse Chestnut leaves and Rhododendron arboreum trees growing in profusion at the Wilderness Orchard and botanical gardens in Uttarakhand. Also see natural regeneration of Cedrus deodara or the Himalayan Cedar tree. One can see the fresh leaves of the sapling throwing of the covering of the seed. Elsewhere, multiple deodar sapling grow among the humus of the forest floor created by fallen leaves of the deodar and maple trees in the under storey. Maple trees bear fresh gold and yellow leaves in the Himalayan spring, unlike gold and yellow hues of the fall season in North America.
